I have never really tried to record a video with my smart phone. With my new smart phone I can do more with it.

I never tried to record video with my phone before either. I guess I know realize that I am experiencing the same situation that happens to people that try to post pictures in the blogs, and they turn out to show either sideways or upside down. The video plays fine when I press play on the phone screen.

I am one of the people who had difficulties with photos posting upside down. I discovered that if I held my phone in a certain position when taking the photos they would post correctly. If your smart phone can record video while held in various positions, maybe try what I did: tip it horizontally with the top of the screen on the left while recording.

A day without dance is .... just kidding. I have no idea!

According to the internet, the issue is the cell phone, it has nothing to do with You | Tube. I already found a solution using my video editing program, Cyberlink Powerdirector. I was able to upload two videos to my channel. So far, everything seems to be working fine. I spent almost a week solving this problem.
