Wow Kofla....I don't blame you for exiting the bus. That is usually where shooting begins. People just cannot stay out of someone else's business.

I grew up in Philadelphia and spent my school years living walking distances from the Broad Street subway. We never felt the need to lock the doors to our home unless we were gone overnight. Over the past few years I travelled back several times for special events and was heartbroken to see the deterioration of areas that had so many special memories. But the buses are much more spacious than the old PTC (now SEPTA) buses.

When intuition tells you to get the FiretrUCK out of there, it's best to listen and do accordingly.

My grandson and his family had to go to NYC for a special surgery on the younger daughter. They found the best surgeon they could for her condition and that happened to be in NYC. The four of them stayed in a Ronald McDonald house near the hospital, but did a lot of sight seeing while they were there for the tests before the surgery.
This old country born and raised grandma was in a lot of prayer for them while they were there. They were like country mice in the city. I believe they were under the Lord's protection because often a day or two after they were in an area, there was a protest or riot or shooting where they had already been. They even rode the subway to get around.
I don't even like to be in the little city near us after dark, and now we are hearing of shootings or stabbings there even in the daytime.
I'm glad you got out of that situation and walked, but that's quite a walk..... or at least it would be for me. In fact, I don't think I could have done it.

Glad you're ok. That sounds like a very scary situation.

A day without dance is .... just kidding. I have no idea!
