A beautiful day! Such a wonderful and productive day. started out falling completely apart, when the wrong parts were delivered. How exasperating. Hours of research and googling every which way in attempt find the right parts. finally eureka, the right parts. I remembered in the midst of the search order the adapters needed for my rainwater tanks. Soon, soaker hoses will run into the gardens. The contractor arrives and we are able to fit the side porch for a sliding door. It is a long project, but I cannot wait to watch the first colorful sunset. Of coarse while doing the work, it was discovered that the porch was well framed, but poorly weather proofed. (No wonder it was freezing all winter) I will appreciate the extra work it caused while I watch the snow fall from a cozy porch. My sliding glass doors were the frustrations of others, they were ordered custom made and never picked up. They were sold to a lady then could not afford her project and chose sell what materials she had collected. She listed them several times, but the custom sizing meant no one wanted them. I ended up with a perfect fitting sliding glass door set, for $200. A regular size would never fit. People drift in and out. Walks taken in the warm sun, drinks sipped in the shade. The simplest of days are so often the most beautiful! |

No politics...... but I am not good at humor like Rocket and Hawk, so just a run down of a quiet day....a quiet day where a wall was torn off the house

Sounds like a good kind of day. The wrong parts being delivered reminds me of last week when my daughter's new washer and dryer arrived. Except, it turned out to be TWO washers, and the mistake wasn't caught until after they had been left at her garage door. The company said they would get her the dryer, and pick up the extra washer, but it would be a few days. Checking the name on the washers, she discovered that one was to go to a woman a couple hundred miles away, who had the same last name! What are the chances of two women, with the same last name, ordering the same washer and dryer, at the same time, that would both come out of the same central warehouse? My daughter contacted the other lady, and found out that the mistake had been noticed by the delivery person and only the right one had been left at her house. Some warehouse person goofed when loading the trucks. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

Glad that you finally were able to order the parts you needed. How awesome it is that we can now do all of this kind of searching right from our home rather than having to go from store to store. I understand completely the joy and tranquillity your porch [Is it like a three season room?] is going to bring you. It's one of the only things I missed when I sold up since the view over the fields with the mountain in the distance was spectacular. **Thank you!! I usually scroll by most of the political posts here in SFF. You're right.... The simplest of days are often the most beautiful~~

LUCKY YOU DIDN'T NEED TO GO OUT TO FIND WHAT YOU WANTED. SPEAKING OF WATER, WE HAVE RESTRICTIONS AND I WATER MY TWO PLANTS WITH THE WATER RECUPERATED FROM MY MOBILE A/C UNIT. 32°C JUST NOW.

Love those beautiful, quiet days. So far that is here for the moment. Hopefully ex don't come over and try to fix things for my daughter in the house. He never has the right parts, or he screws up things, or it's the snowball effect when he fixes one thing breaks another ! But right now enjoying my day so far ! Enjoy !!!!!!!

Simple quiet, peaceful days are good. It's nice to relax and unwind. Good to see the correct parts you ordered were delivered in the end. All's well that ends well. Twilight, thank you for your non political blog.

I wonder about that Amazon package..... if you had just tossed it, then the sender would be SOL because she put the wrong address on it! It was nice of you to seek out the intended recipient and arrange delivery. I like happy endings. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.
