Eviction Notice

My poor old grape vine wreath needs washing after the winter's dust and dirt. A few new flowers might not hurt either... Clean the oil lamp & shade too

However, Robins have taken up residency atop the wreath. I can hear babies chirping. Just every time we go out the front door, I water my plants, or want to decorate; the dang birds raise a fuss and half attack. Much more and they will find their nest out in the ditch across the road.

It says up to 2 weeks for the eggs to hatch. It also says robins can have eggs about 3 times a year
Better move it quickly when they all hatch

I very rarely see Robins here, they aren't common in my neck of the woods. They only pass through on their way north.

Birds can be pretty darn messy!

Yes, birds can be messy little creatures alright, rather cute though. I had a nest in my front gutter last year, the mess was awful. Poo on the window and porch door, extra cleaning for me.

Good luck tomorrow.

I've hjad to power wash off the porch & railing twice now. The lily of the valley and hostas are getting well fertilized.

I'll let the first batch get gone before the nest comes down and my wreath gets cleaned up. Probably have to repaint the old lamp.

I love my Wrens and Starlings who eat their weight in mosquitoes every day. Our part of Iowa is noted for swamps & slews prime breeding grounds for them.

LUCKY YOU DON'T HAVE SEA GULLS NESTING ON YOUR ROOF. YOU MIGHT NOT ALWAYS EVEN BE ABLE TO LEAVE THE HOUSE, THEY SOMETIMES ATTACK IF THEY THINK THEIR OFFSPRING ARE IN DANGER.
Roast GULL would be on the dinner menu
