Bret's Deep Dish  A bit tardy for posting on this topic...... Last night's dinner PIZZA turned out as one of my best! JD asked for the Deep Dish "Chicago Style" loaded with meat & cheese. The pepperoni's off the charts "spicy" level by itself could make your eyes water.  I diced the green & yellow pepper, mushroom, with the onion to fry in the hamburger and Italian sausage so the meat would "steam cook" and not get browned. The meat and veggies I then added to my sweet Sicilian Marinara. My sauce is loaded with basil, oregano, and fennel so each bite is bursting with flavor.  The top of the pizza was sealed in a Mozzi & Piccarino cheese layer  I/we were both so dang hungry we dove into the pizza before I remembered to get some pictures.... Opppsss...... Now you get a clear side view of a Chicago Style Pizza! |

Here it is FRIDAY already.... where did the week go? I need to bring in some wood for the fireplace, fold a stack of laundry, and run the vacuum in the TV room....... I feel so naked without my long mane of hair.........

WoW! That's some DEEP dish pizza. I would have loved to share a bite with you and JD. Too bad there are no leftovers. LOL!

I've thrown out all my pizza pans, so would have to make it in a cookie sheet. Same thing but not round. One of these days, maybe, if I can afford some ingredients.

It's 30F here this morning, partly sunny, SE 5 mph. I will be going to look at the neighbor's outdoor Christmas display of elves and gnomes, Santa, and frosty. Then will walk the dog after lunch.

my son had cancer and lost all his hair which quickly grew back in again he is now in remission it was so scarey when we first got the news but with lots of prayer and healing wishes it all turn out as i am sure yours will now to food!!! that looks so delicious hmmm guess no leftovers to send off to your sff chatters lol

not real Italian pepperoni and not even cured upwards when heated to 475 degrees most pizza ovens reach. Not traditional Italian or Greek crust but like the Pizza huts thick and chewy garbage crap they have served since 1971. Lastly you cant cook a pizza at home without a Blodget brick lined pizza oven that uses gas for fuel. Wrong cheese, sauce too thick, your out to lunch Bretty.. whats your sign Cancer??? how fitting
