Politically Incorrect or Otherwise HOLYday Greetings

It can be one of those Dang If You Do and Dang If You Don't Scenarios. When it comes to holiday greetings, I am more interested in the WallyWorld customer's wishes than I am my own HOLYDay agenda.

It has been my experience that some Christians are more offended by being told, "Happy Holiday" than non-Christians are offended by being told "Merry Christmas"

Needless to say, if a customer comes in donning a long beard and yarmulke asking for Matzo Bread to stuff in his Turkey, I'll tell him "Happy Hanukkah!" If she's wearing a veil over her face and looking for sexy Corset to wear under her clothes - I would suggest the Victoria Secret Website and Wish her a Happy Holiday. If a group of bikers come in wearing nothing. I would admire their tattoos and simply tell them, "Thank You for shopping at Wal-Mart!!!"

Some folks are offended by the X-Mas versus Christmas. It is believed that the term is part of an effort to "take Christ out of Christmas" and an attempt by retailers secularize of Christmas.

In reality the X was a term in ancient culture including the Greeks that actually represented Christ.

Therefore

HAPPY X-MAS and A MERRY HOLYDay to ALL!!!!!
Star's Politically Incorrect Version

Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, our best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, non-addictive, gender neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced with the most enjoyable traditions of religious persuasion or secular practices of your choice with respect for the religious/secular persuasions and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all. We also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2007, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make our country great (not to imply that the United States is necessarily greater than any other country) and without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wishee

Star, I am totally offended. Just kidding. Have a great whatever you have and all the best to you in the coming decades.

P.S. I always wondered what this Wally World store was everyone keeps referring to. Now I know.
