Another shot in the eye

With great hopes I went back to the surgeon last Tuesday hoping my eye pressure had finally normalized so we could work on doing the final surgery on the left eye to insert the lens. It was not to be as the pressure had barely increased since my last visit. I will now have to return after New Year to see if I have improved. Nevertheless, the surgeon did think that the eyeball injection (for which the insurance company refuses to pay) had improved the blind spot to some degree so he gave me another one. As mentioned before, this particular drug is approved for another condition, and not for enlarged veins underneath the retina, but my surgeon believes it works better for this condition than for the condition for which it was approved, which is old-age related macular degeneration. I suppose that means I am lucky. Of course we are not old, are we?

A very happy Thanksgiving to all! We all have much to be thankful for as do I.

Soledad:

I'll be praying for you and that everything will be good for your future surgery. I hope you are having a great Thanksgiving. Here is wishing you the best of the Holiday season.
