You are right friendly, no matter how bad the damage done to you was, and still feels, the only thing to do is forgive. I think we have to come to it slowly though, work around it and through it and it will happen. Nobody living rent free in my head, Thank God.

Thank you for the reminder. I do know that age has made me a kinder, gentler and more understanding person. Getting older does have its assets.

Hi friendly...forgiveness in one particular event of my life has been and I'm certain will be a major accomplishment if I'm able to achieve it so I found the title of your blog eye catching to me... Without any intent at flattery I have to say that Anemac made a statement in a response to a blog a while back that will stay with me, hopefully, the rest of my life...she said "holding a grudge is like swilling poison and waiting for the other person to die"...I think it's worth mentioning on this one...thanks Any Fool Can Criticize and Complain...and Most Do...

Absolutely the right approach, Jan. You have always come across as a very largehearted person with little inclination to harbour hate. Have a wonderful day. "To fight the darkness do not draw your sword, light a candle" - Zarathustra

So true, so true, but so very difficult... "They won't remember what you said, but they will remember how you made them feel" ---------------------------------------------------------------------- That quote from Indira Gandhi is very nice - and I also love what you said about what is remembered by people. Many thanks, Karin - have a wonderful day, My friend. "To fight the darkness do not draw your sword, light a candle" - Zarathustra

Thank you for the reminder. I do know that age has made me a kinder, gentler and more understanding person. Getting older does have its assets. Let me give you a big hug for that thought, Ane. Killing with kindness ??!! I mean it in the positive sense - killing means not the person but the ill-will that was harboured by her/him. My Rimpoche says so too. I believe it always works and will continue to do so. Have a wonderful day. "To fight the darkness do not draw your sword, light a candle" - Zarathustra
