Friday's Bouquet

I don't know what kind of flower this is; perhaps someone can tell me. The tree can grow quite tall.

The petals look waxy. Are they? Are the little round things all unopened flowers, or does the tree have berries?
Hi LIME,

The petals are thick and leathery and those little round things are unopened flowers.

I think I have found the answer. It is either the Brazil nut or its relative, the Cannonball tree.

I've never seen this flower, but is gorgeous. I placed your photo as desktop background and looks beautiful. Hope you don't mind. Thanks Lee.

Hi Abelle,

Thanks for the visit. Based on the flowers and the leaves, I am pretty sure it is the Cannonball Tree.

Hi petitepetal,

I have checked and the flowers are similar to quince flowers. I have not heard of quince before. thanks. They look like Chinese pears.

Hi Roxy,

Thank you for the visit. Can you post photos of the Mountain Laurel and "The Pride of Barbados" ? I would like to see them.

Hi GLUMO,

The climate in your country is very much like mine so we share a lot of the flora and fauna. Thank for using my photo as your desktop background. I just did the same.
