Super tree The top picture is the Gardens by the Bay, Singapore. You can see the Super trees which are vertical gardens as plants like ferns, vines and orchids are grown in the spaces all around the tree. The yellow bridge with people on it is the suspended walkway between the tress called the OCBC Skyway. The bottom picture is of the Marina Bay area taken from the walkway. One can see the skyline and the giant Ferris wheel on the right is the Singapore Flyer. If you use a good magnifying glass, you can see Poet Dancer, in a blue polka dress, inside the cabin at 9 o’clock of the Flyer. She was taking a photograph of the Gardens. lovely photos ... it looks like a beautiful place to visit. coincidentally, we have a botanical garden in san luis obispo, and this evening the executive director is giving a presentation and talk about singapore and the gardens by the bay. i'm looking forward to attending. here's a blurb about tonight's event: Before moving to the central coast, Mike spent more than two years in Singapore helping create a massive, billion-dollar, 250-acre horticultural extravaganza, Gardens by the Bay, for the government of Singapore. Gardens by the Bay features two gigantic glass conservatories with a total of five acres under glass, all designed to protect the cool-growing plants on display. Mike embarked on a botanical journey, traveling extensively to source plants for the new garden, ensuring their safety along the way. The two gigantic glass conservatories are the Cloud Forest and the Flower Dome. The former contains trees and the latter, flowers from all over the world. hi lee - i just got home from a wonderful presentation ... over 300 photographs of singapore and details about the construction of gardens by the bay. amazing, bringing in plants that cannot grow in that climate and housing them under glass. now i really do want to visit! It is a huge garden. Just exploring the Flower Dome and the Cloud Forest would probably take hours. Lee Live today as if it is your last For tomorrow will soon be in the past
