Hi Poet, Now that you mention it, the railing, flower pots and stilts do resemble a Malay kampong house and I do not think it is a coincidence. There is an area near Brisbane known as Bukit Merah ( if I remember correctly ) and the aborigines in Australia cook their food with a shrimp paste known as belachan which looks the same as our belachan!
