A Contestant for the Most Magical City in the World

Okay I realize I am a bit prejudiced. My candidate is San Francisco, California. As far as I have seen of the world, there is no place like the City by the Golden Gate.
I have promised friends I would take them on a tour of my city to see just it highlights. And so I did a careful inventory, and found I could not keep it under 12 days. There is so much, from the Bay to the Pacific Ocean, to see in just a day's tour.
To visit the ethnic sections, Fisherman's Wharf and Ghiradelli Square. To see Golden Gate Park, and Steinhart Aquarium, and the Planitarium, and the De Young Museumd takes a day.
To visit the magnificence of the Pacific Ocean.
To eat in each of the ethnic centers of the city takes a week. Then there are the entertainment venues. The theatre district. The nightclubs. The shows. The Palace of Fine Arts. Exploratorium.
Riding a cable car.
The list goes on and on.

What is your candidate for one of the most Magical Cities in the World?

Vancouver, British Columbia.

SF is neat. I especially like Telegraph Ave.

Do you mean Telegraph Hill? Telegraph Avenue is across the Bay in Berkeley.

What about Vancouver do you think makes it unique?

VENICE, ITALY!

Are you speaking of the Venice of today, or the Venice of 10 or 20 years ago. I am told much has changed since I was there 30 years ago.

Oh my... impossible to choose just one. All of my favourite cities are magical each in their own way. To name a few: Vancouver BC, London England, Venice/Florence/Rome Italy, Athens, Greece and St. Petersburg, Russia.... they are all beautiful and magical:

No, I meant Telegraph Ave. I tend to think of SF as being a good part of the Bay area.

Vancouver is unique because of its setting. Ocean on one side, mountains on the other. Also its ethnic diversity.
