Because I Am An American Because I am an American.....I can consider myself one of the most fortunate people on earth This doesn't make me better than anyone else just more fortunate. Because I am an American.....I do not fear different ideologies Because I am an American.....I can believe that might isn't right, but right is might. Because I am an American.....I believe all people are equal in the eyes of God and in the eyes of the law. Because I am an American.....I can be tolerant Because I am an American.....I have a voice, and can speak my mind. I can be right without fear and can be wrong without fear. I speak for myself and do not speak for others. Because I am an American.....I can live in the "Golden Rule" and by the golden rule. Because I am an American.....I can be fair without being self serving. I can believe in justice without revenge. Because I am an American.....I can give to the world and not take. Because I am an American.....I can listen to what others says, but do not have to accept. All of this I can do... Because I am an American..... ******* |

I can do all that too .. Because I am a Canadian . Maggie, Because I'm an American....I'm not special... Sorry you took it that way, I'm not challenging Canadians. I'm challenging those who call themselves Americans. You are fortunate too....even if you are a Canuck!

From this comment even though you are denying it ,my guess is you do think you're special because you are a Usian Maggie, I guess if you think that being fortunate is being special. then you're right. But like I said you are fortunate too. But my guess is that's not what you meant. Most of my points, negate your idea of my being special. Those that would be best served to understand my points would be those that do think, that just because they are American, they are special.

Okay let's take out the guess work... There are Americans...... They fear different ideologies, and remind us that these ideologies put us in peril They believe that if we have the might, we must have the right and because we have the right can use our might They believe people of God are special, and in the eyes of the law, people of God should be treated different. God's law always above man's law They say they are tolerant, but are not They can speak their mind, but if you're different you better be careful what you say. Their Golden rule is do unto others before they do it to you There are Americans that can't understand you can be fair without being self serving. You can believe in justice without revenge. There are Americans who believe the world is there to take There are American who say they want to be left alone, but don't want to leave others alone. These are also so-called American...I can say this not because I wear the label... American......... BECAUSE I AM AN AMERICAN

Oh I see , those who think just like you are special. Well, maggie I don't understand what's happening, but who has said anything about being special? I have not. Oh wow , because I give you my opinion you are claiming to be attacked .. Never thought you'd resort to that Maggie, There you go again, I never said I was special and I never said I was being attacked. What mrsjoe said was come under attack for what I was saying. I think we differ on what that means. I don't care about being attacked, I care about being understood. Whether you're attacking me or not is immaterial to me. I simply use the word American, and you assume you know what I mean..That's your problem, not mine .

Jiminy, Im extra special because I come from Ireland and people dont even know where we are on the map, so being Irish is very very very special and we can do anything, Im glad to be Irish. Slan
