Valentines Day Alternatives

I ran across this yesterday. Perfect suggestions for anyone feeling left out or lacking on Valentine’s Day.
My personal favorite when I did not have some one significant in my life was to spend time doing valentines stuff with little .

Ironically this year I have someone to celebrate with but we are in a country that does not make a big deal of it. Fine with me as I prefer a less dramatic approach to the whole couples and dating thing.

Whatever your situation I wish everyone the kind of day they would like it to be.

The Anti-Valentine: Cheating, Dumped and No-Shows

Celebrating Anti-Valentine’s Day Instead of Valentine’s?
Were you previously dumped on Valentine’s Day? Did someone cheat on you and make your tender heart turn sour? Were you stood up on the actual evening of Feb 14? If you are an anti-Valentine, don’t worry—there are many fun-filled activities you can get up to on V-Day. Enjoy some of these popular activities that other anti-Valentines get up to on the much-dreaded “I heart you” day.

Burn, Burn, Burn
Get together with your friends and burn those old photos of the one who cheated on you, dumped you or didn’t show up for Valentine’s Day. Burn old memories and allow yourself to let go of any anger regarding the previous failed relationship.

Have a Fiesta!
Many people get together on dreaded Valentine’s Day. Throw a party for you and your other anti-Valentine friends that have been scorned. Put out a spread of “no heart” day symbols, smack a heart-shaped piñata full of chocolate and talk about how great the single life is. Arriba!

Head Out With Other Singletons (and Anti-Valentines)
Avoid all Valentine’s Day events and head out with your gal pals or male buddies. Enjoy a dinner together, celebrate single life and head out for a night of dancing. Make a pact to keep together on this night and avoid all pick-up lines.

Family Time
Spend Valentine’s Day with your siblings, parents or grandparents that may be single. It’s amazing to bond with your own single family members on this supposed day of love.

Pamper Yourself
Give yourself the gift of love on V-Day. Pamper yourself, go to a spa, get a massage and give yourself tender loving care. Live it up in luxury and treat yourself to a tasty dinner, fine wine and an action flick. Forget chick flicks, couples, chocolate hearts and V-Day. Call it a YOU DAY

I think I'll just get a heart-shaped pinata and beat the shite out of it.

Actually me too. It would be so fun to bash the hell out of a heart shaped pinada thinking of all the untruths we were taught to believe about romance and the hard lessons we went through learning that they wern't true.
