A New Career I hate numbers and math – even had to take statistics twice. However, after seeing the response to my primitive, sleep deprivation motivated “study” I am considering a new career. I figure that my numbers and methods are about as valid as some of the “studies” we hear about all of the time so maybe…………………….. But I’ll have to wait until things settle down after the election to know how to find the job. If Romney wins I can work for a multinational corporation. They will pay a huge salary and grant bonuses. Or If Obama wins I can get a huge government grant. The lesson here is that it really doesn’t matter which side you’re on. Success / survival is a matter of how, not what or who and the ability to adapt. Spiritwoman ^i^ |

You have to be a foreigner to get government grants. Like the people from india that come here and run convenience stores for 7 years without paying a red cent of tax, then sell it to their kin waiting in line to come here, and then the seller goes back to india to live the rest of their days rich. Tell me, how many Americans get this 7 years of tax exempt running businesses? Teddy-ess and hairee, We need (An update on the situation here.) ROTFLMFAO

I always said ever again but about a year and a half ago the challenge to begin a business was presented to me and I gave it a try. Seriously - I never thought I'd have the energy but my venture has been exhilarating and hopefully keeps me up on things. Spiritwoman ^i^

I think that you may be like me in a couple of respects. You are imaginative but are a little beyond the typical age for starting a new vocation. I support your quest though and look forward to hourly reports. How in the world could ANYONE have to take statistics twice? Fossil You're right - My mind is still 40 but the Body can't keep up. Guess I'll have to settle for project manager in my new endeavor and hire people to do the work. Spiritwoman ^i^

So far so good. My dad had a business until his final illness in his late 70's. I'm counting on genetics to see me through. He used to tell me "I don't know who that old guy in the mirror is." Spiritwoman ^i^

"....... The lesson here is that it really doesn’t matter which side you’re on. Success / survival is a matter of how, not what or who and the ability to adapt. ............ That remains the operative part, My dear Friend. I am that you, in your case, are more ethical, despite the 'adaptability', than politicians on either side of the political fence. Have a pleasant evening and a great day tomorrow. & a KOC. "To fight the darkness do not draw your sword, light a candle" - Zarathustra
