Blessing Jar

From one of my inspirational reads.

Today's Message - Starting tomorrow, the first day of 2015, write down all the blessings you've received & place them in a pretty jar or box. When you've had a rough day, it always helps us put things in perspective to pull a few of these out to see how blessed we truly are! ~

If I still had young I might do this with them as a "project / teaching opportunity".

Great idea, Spirit! I'll do this.
I have read all your interesting previous blogs. I like all of them.
Wish you a happy and blessed New Year.

Strange, in my dictionary one of the meanings of blessing is " A thing conductive to happiness"
I think that if I am having a bad day, reading about something that made me happy would lift my spirits. No relation to Holy Spirit, but to the mood or disposition of myself.
Good idea about the jar.

I didn't know what you mean by the term "blessing" as the only reference I have is from my Christian upbringing......I know you aren't a Christian, so I looked it up......Traditional sources again with the Religious connotation, so I went to "Urban Dictionary" and found this ......
    1. giving or receiving oral sex.
    2. A grouping of unicorns.
Which one were you referring to?
Do I have to choose? the unicorns would be an amazing experience. I'm not sure about putting either in a jar though. Does your dictionary offer any suggestions?

As a point of interest this quote came from a Pagan site I frequent.

Remembering happy times and focusing on things that make us feel good really helps us to remember that good things have and will come our way.
