We See What We Want Commenting on another blog I realized something that has become second nature for me, so much so that I don't think about it any more. Everything is a duality. Good and bad are opposites ends of the same, not to mention subject to individual interpretation. Both are everywhere in everything. We see what we choose to focus on. I decided nearly 50 years ago to look for the good. I admit sometimes it is a struggle but it keeps a smile on my face most of the time and has helped me survive things others found survivable. That applies here in blogs as well. Think about our top negative bloggers. When was the last time you can remember them commenting or posting anything positive (other than lending support to others negativity)? When were they encouraging to others? . We can't change what is , only our reaction to it. My theory? If you can't see anything positive move on . Life is too temporary and there are too many things to smile about to give precedence to negativity. Others can wallow away in negativity. Just don't get in my way when I ride through on my unicorn (I imagery burrowed from my granddaughter) if you don't like having rainbow farts blown at you.  Spiritwoman ^i^ |

It seems that the same few people thrive on creating drama, making accusations, hurling insults, hurting strangers on the internet, etc. This is supposed to be a friendship group for seniors. What a shame a few people can wreck the whole thing. Instead of seeing blogs about who doesn't like whom and why, I look forward to reading blogs about who does like whom and why.

I think the negativity and aggression being displayed by some on this site has caused many of our more positive and friendly bloggers to leave and find other sites to visit. Alfie...

Nothing new under the sun..... it just ebbs and flows. It's all about choice...... in the blogs, that is to chose what to read and when to make a comment. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.
