Can Anyone Explain And / Or Help? The following is a conversation between myself and JKH. I unblocked him sometime ago. Now he can read my blog but not comment. I checked everywhere I know of to see why this might be but can't find any reason for it or way to fix it. I guess I have 2 questions here. First does anyone know how to fix this? If so please explain to me. Also if there is a way to just block comments I would be interests in knowing. As I have said many times before I do not care who reads my blogs or that they may disagree with me. What I want to eliminate is allowing my space to be used by other for things I don't support (name calling, insulting, disrespect and political battles - note I said battles and insults not discussions. I do enjoy intelligent intellectual discussions but there are none here. Everything I chose to withdraw my support from is insults or disrespect not discussion) Can anyone solve this mystery? What I don't understand is why someone will post so many blogs and have most of the members here blocked from commenting on their blogs. That doesn't make any sense to submit blogs that hardly no one will comment on not counting the members that are blocked. I know that from other members sayiing they are blocked but can read certain blogs. Why blog at all if you have most of the members blocked. Early Wednesday morning starting with Spirits blog and several in a row of Adolphos blogs then 2 or 3 of Lulu's i couldn't comment on any of their blogs. I can't even read Adolpho's blogs but I can read Spirit and Lulu's blogs but I can't comment on them. I think there were 11 blogs in a row I couldn't comment on. I mean I don't understand why members submit blogs but don't want anyone to comment on them. I just don't get it. To Dan, the same thing, does it even matter who's name it is if you're gonna block most people ? To Mrsjoe i thinkl The leaf handle is just turned off, not removed. And another thing, Leaf doesn't have me blocked, I just don't understand where he is comiong from with his blog titles that sometimes don't have a thing to do with the topic of the blog itself so I haven't commented on any of his blogs. I just went back and checked my blocked members list. Nowhere is JKH listed and my setting allows all comments to appear (at the moment anyway. Spiritwoman ^i^

I don't know the answer to your question. I know there are two ways to block a person..... one is after they make a comment on your blog, and there is a blue area at the bottom right of their comment that lets you delete the comment and/or block that member. The other is to go to your home area and look for the blocked/banned feature and put in their name and what all you want to block them from. But I do not know how one can be blocked from commenting, but allowed to read the blog. When you figure it out, please share it with us. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

Just a suggestion..... go to the block/ban page, and if he is not blocked there, block him............. then unblock him and see if that works. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

I haven't done the friends list thing in a long long time. I have several on it but most of them are no longer here. As of the moment I can't see any benefit to the "friends" connections, although since I have several people on it there must have been a reason why I did it at the time. I do not think limiting blogs to friends only means restricting access including reading to only those on the list. I can see it's benefits in large social media sites like FB but at the moment this little blog community is to small to limit access in this way. There is also the review before allowing to post option but a person would have to be seriously into this stuff without much else to do to use that one. I can see using the read only option if there is something you just want to announce but I don't for see that in my future either. I think I would either said what needs to be said and accept appropriate comments or not say it at all. Spiritwoman ^i^

Spirit, you are not blocked from reading or commenting on my blogs. I checked just now and you are not blocked. The only way you could be blocked is if you were using an alternate screen name that I may have blocked. Those individuals who engage in abusive behavior are blocked and will remain blocked forever. I, nor should anyone, be expected to be on the receiving end of that behavior. A long time ago I blocked JK for the same reasons you block people. He has changed so I tried to unblock him but apparently there is some glitch with this. I have never had any other screen name. No time or motivation to get into that nor could my scatter ADD brain keep them straight if I did. As for reading and commenting - I could care less who says it but if the topic interests me and I have time I read and evaluate each blog on the merit of content. If I feel I can add anything worth adding I do, if I don't I don't. Makes life much easier Spiritwoman ^i^

Same thing has happened to me but it has only been once or twice. Things worked fine when I log out and came back later or the next day. Spiritwoman ^i^
