Crab Bridge: Christmas Island, Australia

Animals and birds of all kind strugle for life everyday, specially on breeding season.
Luckily for them,,humans are helping them to keep on.....

Every October, millions of Australian red crabs march from their summer homes to spend the winter breeding in the ocean.

Before the bridges were built, more than 50,000 crabs died in a road kill slaughter. The Australian government successfully stopped the carnage by installing a series of more than 40 tunnels along a stretch of busy roadways specifically for the crabs' survival.

More than 7.5 miles of aluminum was used to build the bridges that have become a tourist attraction where bystanders can watch countless crabs scurry to the nearby coast.

The Trans-Canada highway near Lake Louise in Alberta has several bridges for wild life to cross. Predators now hang around them for easy food.
