Clarifying Competitive Shooting of Heavy Weapons There appears to be clear confusion among several on this site about ownership and use of a 50 caliber rifle. I have repeatedly stated that I engage in competitive shooting. I have never made any threat against any person that involves bodily harm. I am not that sort of person...never have been and never will be. One member on this site has taken to claiming that I am dangerous. Some would agree that such claims are engaging in defamation. Something that should be taken seriously. I certainly do. To clarify. While 50 caliber weapons have been used by military snipers, most owners and users of these heavy weapons have them because they engage in competitive shooting...something that I have repeatedly stated in relationship to my claims of ownership. Competitive shooting of these heavy weapons is not some recent incarnation. I am attaching a photograph of one such shooter who established a new world record in 2009. Slanderous claims about non existent threats made or dangers presented will be dealt with summarily.  |
