More questionable objectivity. Wow! Never imagined it would happen here in the SFF blogs, but it can, and TWICE in one day! In addition to the other coward I mentioned in my previous blog of today, who takes pains to insult me when I disagree with them, then deletes my comments, there is now a second one! This time I'd never have forseen it, because I mistakenly thought this individual was older and presumably wiser. In both instances, I was not the first one to make a personal attack. Most folks have seen my posts in the blogs, and several have complemented me for my civil approach when I discuss issues with people whom I disagree. But both of these bloggers chose to respond with insults, and deleting my comments rather than responding to them with intellect and maturity. That was foolish. Perhaps they had relevent responses that would have changed my mind, or at least enlightened others to their point of view, but if so, no one will ever know now. I'll probably refrain from contributing to either of their blogs in the future. (I haven't tried, but my guess is they would ban me.) Still, they are free to post in mine if they choose to. I promise not to delete it. But if I disagree with them, then they'll need to muster the courage to deal with the comments, and show themselves for what they are. If they have a valid opposition, that may turn out to be a good thing for them. I have to admit that I'm not perfect and perhaps my viewpoint could benefit from exposure to theirs. But if, as I would anticipate, they have no valid opposing viewpoint, then I will leave their comments up for everyone to consider for themselves. They never made any attempt to explain why they disagreed with me. Rather, the technique they used was to label me and accuse me of some wild infraction, or distorting the truth, then deleted my comment. I can only assume they didn't want others to view the questions I raised, which they couldn't adequately answer. Unfortunately, both of these bloggers hold to liberalism. That would not be inexcusable. I believe most liberals are honest about what they feel, and are unafraid to deal with all points of view fairly and honestly. But these cowards give an impression of liberals and liberalism as being both ignorant and frightened of the truth. That is not fair to responsible honest and decent liberals, who seek truth rather than influence. Intelligent minds can easily agree to disagree. Stupid minds just attack and run away in fear. Knx, please calm down and note the fact that I attacked no one by name. And I made sure that I mentioned nothing that would tip others off to the identity of those I spoke about. Also please note that I made no assertion that conservatives were better or worse than liberals. In fact, I took pains to show my respect for decent and polite liberals in my last sentences. As to why conservatives attack, I can only speak for myself. And I attack only when I've been attacked. That question goes both ways. Why did liberals attack me or label me with false accusations? I'm also not sure why conservatives being in leadership need scare anyone. But perhaps that should be a topic u may wish to write about in another blog. Please refer to the blog post I submitted just prior to this one. There, Bijou read it in the correct vein, and offered some very insightful advice for me which I had been unaware of. Finally, NOWHERE did I say or even imply that liberals in general were all cowards, ignorant, or frightened of the truth. I only directed such applicable adjectives to the two offenders, who had attacked ME FIRST. I chose to post a blog here, where my defenses and comments could not be deleted, while unfair accusations were thrown at me to which I could not defend against or have removed. Here, I'm on an equal footing where I can voice my concerns about civility or the lack thereof in the blogs. I'm glad I did it too. I can immediately see that for some reason, and due to no one I can identify as the initiator, the blogs have obviously had some history of nastiness that arose long before I started blogging here, which seems to foster an environment conducive to a "hate first, ask questions later" mentality among members of both sides of the political spectrum. Now that it's out in the open, perhaps people from both sides will be convinced to put a stop to it. And to be clear, I rarely worry if people will like me or not. Some will and some won't. Tho it would be nice if everyone did, I can't lose any sleep over those who chose not to like me. It's their right if they want. And I already have all the empowerment I could ever imagine wanting. And as to "welcoming me with open arms", I felt that happen weeks ago. The vast majority of bloggers here are very nice folks, both conservatives and liberals. I hardly feel any need to be welcomed every day. Once was enough. Please also note that tho your comment here seems to convey a sense hostility towards me, to the extent that it implied several character defects to me, I chose to refrain from attacking you in response. If you disagree with someone it would be better to name them instead of opening up speculation on what or who you are talking about. Guess who blogs have little value. Actually most blogs have little value. LOL A blog is only a blog. LOL

Hi Gavin: So sorry to hear that you received two insults.  It's sad but a little funny too because we all know how that feels. For the first hundred or so insults I received I have to admit I was feeling a little paranoid to log in or type anything, but then I decided that no-one was going to control me. I give my honest opinions to blogs in the most respectful way I know how to, and whoever doesn't like what I have to say can skip over my posts.

Agree with ET Also - lets do our best to make this world a better place no matter what way we approach it. The best way to deal with an attack here is to not validate it with a response. We are all granted freedom of speech but that does not mean we need to listen. Spiritwoman ^i^

Good for you. I don't allow the Liberals to take over my blogs either and I have clearly stated in the blog description what will happen if they do. Fossil There's always the possibility that they may raise a significant point I'd not previously considered, which may change my views. I can learn from them. Thanks Audire. This is why I will always consider you a friend, even when we disagree on some things. You and I have come to know each other well enough over the years to respect each other in spite of our differences. Here, you have complemented me for a character trait I've worked hard to cultivate in myself. You have made note of my integrity. Once again, I must acknowledge that you too have integrity. Hi Boogie! Thank you! I think u'r right. But as a sidenote, I'd also have to mention that it's not just the Republicans who attack people instead of reasoning with them. I've seen it from both sides. I suppose it's possible that comments may sometimes be omitted by computer glitches. But like you, I doubt that happens very often. Anyway, since I lean towards conservatism, and I'm guessing that you lean towards liberalism, PLEASE feel free to express your views in any blog of mine.
