I'm surprised that, at the bottom of the sign, it didn't say, "Sorry."

It does on the backside.

Damn Liberals and New Democrat Party, still the same pot heads, but no longer wear Hippie cloths, caftans, sandals, peace beads, head bands, still believe in flower power and "free love" and no one would ever hurt anyone else.

Fossil_Fetcher replies on 7/16/2016 7:25 am:
Dinty, well, the blog is about Canadians but you are 100% right. As I recall from the 60's, the saying was "Free love and nickel beer - or free beer and nickel love, depending on which you choose to consume the most of." Poor English grammar but, hey, they were pot-heads. What do you expect?

Well I live in Toronto & let me tell you...that was no soft protest, believe me! They attempted to stop the Pride Parade. My response to them is this: 'You may think All Black lives matter but the majority of us here feel that ALL lives matter!! 24 hours ago BLM group met with our Ontario Premier (she's gay and makes no bones about it either)! In addition, to really rub salt into their wounds, a Winnipeg group of BLM says it is holding a vigil at the Manitoba Legislature next week in response to black "lives lost due to police brutality" in the U.S. and a conversation on race... so it goes on and on ad infinitum!

Oh and further to my comment, Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne says that when people say "all lives matter" in response to Black Lives Matter, it reminds her of people saying, "Why don't straight people have a parade?" Only she would make such a remark. Most of us can't wait for her term as Premier to end!!

Fossil_Fetcher replies on 7/16/2016 7:27 am:
he liberal movement originated here, among a generation of druggies who want everything for nothing. I am sorry it spread to Canada but after seeing Justin Trudeau as your new leader it is clearly too late.

I, as you know Fossil, try not to comment on the politics of other countries since, I don't live in that country and really don't know how their citizens are affected by the various political groups.

I'm a fiscal conservative, and a liberal when it comes to preserving our public social service safety nets.

Only about 2% of Canadians actually belong to any political party.

Prime Minister Trudeau was sworn in as our government leader Nov. 4, 2015. In less than a year, he has energized our country and many feel is moving our country in the right direction.

Fossil_Fetcher replies on 7/16/2016 9:25 am:
How curious. This is not what I have heard. But, good to have your input.

One question though. Would you rate him as similar to Obama on domestic polices?

Hi Fossil,

Since I really don't know what President Obama's domestic policies are, I'm not qualified to comment.

I do follow American politics in the media, but it's a ...he said..... she said.... situation, and I would assume the truth lies somewhere in the middle.

Fossil_Fetcher replies on 7/16/2016 10:19 am:
Just consider me to be right 1100% of the time and you'll be in the ball park on most American issues. I am the voice of the Nation. Don't pay any attention to Don, Leafy (same person) or Skariff. They are all paid operatives of the liberal press.

Fossil_Fetcher replies on 7/16/2016 10:22 am:
Please excuse the typo. Clearly, I am not right 1100% of the time. It should have read "500% of the time."

Voter fraud is basically non-existent in Canada since proper ID is necessary.

I'm sorry that you feel your democrats are such a problem, and I'm 500% sure....LOL... that you feel your republicans would never resort to voter fraud......

Fossil_Fetcher replies on 7/16/2016 2:36 pm:
Why do you think Democrats oppose voter ID's? Because they'd lose most of the elections.

dinty: I didn't insult you on the comment you made.

Please refer to the picture at the top of this blog........

I very much enjoy a brisk discussion. Once demeaning comments are made there is little chance of reasonable discussion.

Obviously you're a Liberal so responding to your question would be futile!

Yes, Fossil, Trudeau and Obama appear to have each other's backs... so in answer to your question, a resounding YES! He is moving Canada to the far left. Sorry Rocket, I do not agree that 'he has energized our country and many feel is moving our country in the right direction'. Even many of those blindly voted for him now have had a change of heart. But you'd never know it by our local papers like the CBC etc. They've been handsomely paid off by the Liberals!! lol

Ahhhh Salsa, many did not 'blindly' vote for Prime Minister Trudeau, and I don't think that media is being paid off. (Is there proof of that?)

The mud slinging and degrading advertisements put out by the Conservative party long prior to the election, is not the Canadian way.... and many did not like it.

I can only speak for myself. I did my homework. The other candidate did more to ruin our country with his illegal acts and centralization of power to the PMO's office.

Again, I enjoy a brisk discussion which involves facts, not insults.

Trudeau is moving Canada back to the center where we belong.
Our center is, of course, the extreme left in the US.

Sorry, Rocket, but I can produce facts. Those facts were also published.
Trudeau won the election mainly with the youth vote, the newcomer vote, the vote of First Nation, the vote of the public sector unions and with the help of the left-wing media. If not for the media relentlessly attacking Harper while lauding Trudeau, the millions of dollars the public sector unions spent to discredit Harper, Trudeau's promise to give First Nation billions of dollars with no accountability required, Trudeau's promise to legalize pot which facilitated the youth vote, his speeches in mosques in which, he accused Harper of attacking Muslims and the strategic voting of the left on election day, Trudeau would never have become our prime minister.

Trudeau is the CBC's poster child... he has certainly paid them enough, so much so that they lauded Trudeau (as I said above) & attacked Harper (not surprising at all, coming from the CBC)! Our annual PLUS BILLION dollar expensive public news agency (CBC) with greater than 60% credibility rating among CDNs (CTV hovers around 20 and hypocritical sale of misleading information and news to citizens beginning in mid / late 2014 to select / elect a leader and political machine they wanted.

I wasn't insulting anyone but stating facts!!!

Rocket, search the net yourself for the facts, if you doubt my statements. You will find where the Liberal government did indeed pay off the CBC!! I don't manifest these statements...I read them as facts!! Sorry if you felt insulted!!!

You see, Fossil....... even when Canadians of different stripes are arguing, we say that we're sorry.

The only word Salsa, that I rather took exception to was the word 'blindly'.

I did go*gle asking if the liberal party paid off the CBC for favourable treatment. I couldn't find anything on that topic. I would appreciate it if you could direct me to a source.

Fossil: Even though Salsa and I have some political differences, we are still great friends.

Fossil_Fetcher replies on 7/18/2016 2:25 pm:
I am friends with many American liberals. No, wait, I don;t KNOW any American liberals. Which makes one wonder how they could have so many people in office, huh?

So why do you think Trudeau wants to change the way we vote (FPTP)? It seems to me and many other Canadians, that our current system of voting has worked for all governments in the past!!

Rocket, I have never found the need to expound on anything political I've said; everything is based on facts I've read. Sorry to hear you couldn't locate the site. Look for 'CBC Exposed'. Not only will you find your answer relating to my quotes, you will see other articles relating to the same subject.

Lulu, I also find it interesting when I see Liberals state 'all of us (or the majority) voted Liberal'.

Political correctness is a formidable tool for oppressing the masses, to subdue anyone and everyone... Leadership has been replaced by elitism. The former counted on people's individuality, identity and most definitely, dignity. The later counts on precisely the contrary, people just being part of a non thinking mass of followers.

Very true, Rocket, that we are! I enjoy a good banter... mind you, with some there is no reasoning whatsoever, so in that case I feel 'what's the use'? lol

'SORRY' you find us nuts!!!!!!!!!

btw: I rather doubt that many, or any 'Yanks' watch or care about what's happening with their neighbours to the north. Most of the time it would be like watching paint dry compared to there, and we like it that way.

Rocket, I am glad you understand. We do pay attention, even though a third of American high school graduates probably couldn't find Canada on a world map. Hell, a fourth of them can't find the United States either.

LOL Fossil, you crack me up with your recent response to Rocket: " We do pay attention, even though a third of American high school graduates probably couldn't find Canada on a world map. Hell, a fourth of them can't find the United States either",
