Slavery was around a long time before it became a practice in the USA, (actually, before there even was a USA) and it has been around a long time since the USA stopped it. But, ranting and raving about it and reparation is a money maker for some, so they will continue to do it. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

Oh, and all this crap makes me mad. I was talking to a lady from our prescription mail order company, and when she asked if there was anything else she could help me with, I gave her my usual flip answer about helping me with household chores. I said, "Sure, you can come help me mop the floors." I got the same response that I often do..... a laugh..... and then she said, "Sure, if I can rest a little between floors." To which I replied, "Heck. Maybe we wouldn't do the floors at all.... just sit on the patio, drink iced tea and visit." And she said, "Sounds like a plan to me. We might even get those floors mopped." I laughed too, and said, "You have a great day" and she replied, "You too." So what was the problem? After I started that exchange, I started to feel uncomfortable....... because she sounded like a black lady, and I was suddenly self conscious and hoped I didn't offend her! Isn't that crazy? Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

You can't hold all Muslims responsible for acts of terrorism any more than you can hold all Catholics responsible for IRA terrorism or Croatian concentration camps.

Then why, for God's sake, should I pay reparations to "African-Americans" for slavery? That was the topic of the blog - not Muslims or Nazi's or the IRA. Fossil As a citizen it's your problem as well.
