The real problem is that the far right conservatives hate everybody who isn't like them. If you're not on the far right like them you are a traitor. Hatred of "lefties" and even moderate conservatives, takes precedence over love of country. They will never understand the bigger picture the rest of us do.

Can anything be done in the interim to sharply rein in Trump's frenzied behaviour as his day of reckoning steadfastly approaches? I just read Trump has shafted General McMaster in favour of John Bolton as National Security Advisor. It would appear Trump is spoiling for a fight/major diversionary tactic (?) with Bolton on board, known for holding hard-line policy views and was supportive of attacking North Korea.
