The Winter Scenes. We are passing through winter now. A winter morning in Bangladesh is usually misty and cold too. In most winter mornings, the sun remains invisible. We cannot see sun because of dense fog. Everything appears hazy. Nothing is visible clearly even from very near. A winter night is bright and beautiful and enjoyable too as village people makes fire by gathering straw to warm them. The nights are longer in Bangladesh. It is the most sharply felt six seasons of Bangladesh. It starts in the middle of November and continues until the middle of February. Winter is followed by spring—the season we like most. mrsjoe, Thanks for stopping by my blog as usual. I am delighted to read that you have enjoyed the pictures Though we have fog in winter, we like the season for other reasons. The winter nights are very long and that is why I like it. I know you have four seasons there. But we are blessed with six seasons : Summer, Monsoon, Autumn, Late Autumn ,Winter and Spring.. Summer: Middle April to Middle June Monsoon/Rainy: Middle June to Middle August. Autumn: Middle August to Middle October. Late Autumn: Middle October to Middle December. Winter: Middle December to Middle February. Spring: Middle February to Middle April. As mentioned in the post, we actually feel the touch of cold wind from the middle of November. All the best, Mrs Joe.

Hi Look: Those photos are excellent. I live in Canada near Niagara Falls, and when I was young there were four distinct seasons, each three months long. Now with global warming our Summer is six months long and so hot, then it seems to jump right into a freezing cold six month long Winter.

Carolyn, Thanks for your comments that have been left on my current blog. The seasons.here in our country now overlap in such a way that the weather conditions overlap. Summer stretches for way too long whereas Winter remains short and the Monsoon strikes in late. On the contrary, 15 to 20 years back this was not the case. Thanks to global warming that we are experiencing prolonged seasons with extremities in forms of unusual rise in temperatures during summer, abnormal rainfall patterns during rainy season and freezing cold temperature during winter. The ever increasing lengths of summer, winter and monsoons here have created adverse impact on our agriculture greatly. While the winter traditionally around two-and-a-half months long now prevails for three- and- three quarters, while summer takes five months. Almost double the past length. On the other hand, Monsoon now prevails for three-and- a-half months. Spring is now nearly half a month less than before. Autumn and late autumn seem to have merged into one. All these changes appear to have started to influence adversely the crop plantations and harvesting, Thanks once again Carolyn for stopping by my posts. Best wishes.

I agree with you fully in this respect. Everything is changing and changing very rapidly. We humans are responsible for the changes, Bijou. With all the best, look.

I am very much glad to read you here once again dear boogie. Thank God that it does not snow here at all but cold wind blows at night. I live alone in the city where I do not have any animal to feed. I am really happy to learn that your beloved son is there to feed your animals for you on such a night/day. Stay inside as rightly decided by you. Wishing you and your family a happy and joyous new year.
