France, Natural and Eternal: A Photographer’s Journey In last March, Shibly Shiraj went to France accompanied by his lovely wife for a week-long tour. Soon after arriving there, he rented a car and in no time drove on the highways and the country roads of France. The journey took the two to France’s north coast to the south and from the sea to the mountains. Shibly Shiraj took up photography as a hobby when he was 40 years old. The art of Photography enticed him so much so that he has now become a professional Photographer. Needless to say, while traveling around France, Shiraj took pictures of everything that attracted his attention even when he was driving the rented car on the highways and the country roads of France. The journey resulted in accumulation of a large trove of amazing photographs. Returning back home, Shibly Shiraj arranged a solo photography exhibition titled ‘France, Natural and Eternal: A Photographer’s Journey' at Alliance Française de Dhaka (AFD) which was open to all till August , 2019 last. Shibly said about the exhibition,“the eye of the camera can capture more than what we see with our naked eyes. The success of a person with a camera depends somewhat on how much more he or she can the fleeting glimpse of the scene. I always aspire new dimension in photographic endeavors. In doing so I’m most attracted the nature itself. It is not the beauty of the nature but also the diversity of such beauty and its place in the mind of the masses entice . We all appreciate nature but the phenomenon nature also defines us sometimes escapes us. The pulchritude of nature has attracted the painters, especially the French impressionists found a new way, a dimension per see, in depicting it.” I have seen Shibly growing up gradually to manhood since his birth. He has shared with me all the 43 pictures that were included in the exhibition. Here below, ten of the photographs are posted for those who believe like Shibly “that the nature must remain at the core of human existence”. Picture Details: #1 Trees, Toulouse #2 Shades of Landscape, Saintes #3 Sunset, Bay of Biscay #4 The French Alps #5 Eiffel Toweras seen from Trocadero garden and Le femme Statue #6 Elogo Du Pas Du Cote, Nante #7 Saint Clement Aqueduct, Mont Pelleer #8 Musee Des Civilizations, Marseille #9 The View of Nice from Parc Du Mont Boron # Waterfall. LOVELY PHOTOS LOOK. TO THINK THAT FELLOW WAS ON MT BORON IN NICE, JUST 40 KM FROM WHERE I LIVE. SORRY I DIDN'T GET TO MEET HIM.

Lovely photos, many with interesting perspective. The statue of the man with one foot in the air is especially interesting, because of the sunlight on the building behind him changes the coloring. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

Lovely photos, many with interesting perspective. The statue of the man with one foot in the air is especially interesting, because of the sunlight on the building behind him changes the coloring. Delighted to read from you here again after a long time. The statue of the man with one foot in the air is really interesting. Here below is a paragraph on the statue that may interest you. "Eloge Du pas De Cote (Ode to Sidestepping) is the contemporary art work of Philippe Ramette. The Ode does not pay tribute to the glory of a man, but to an attitude. Éloge du pas de côté (“Ode to Sidestepping”) is a monumental bronze sculpture representing a man in a suit who bears a strong resemblance to the artist, looking out at the horizon. Only one-foot stands on the pedestal while the other dangles mid-air. The sculpture thus becomes an allegory of sidestepping and pays tribute to the audacity of a city and its close commitment to culture." Have a pleasant time.

Interesting pictures, Look. I haven't been to the far north as such. I really had no time when I was in France. May be in the future, as the parents of Emy's fiance are nearly to the north. And they have invited me to their place next time I go to France. The above photos are really nice. Thanks for this blog. Wishing you all the best.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog page after such a long time. Yes, the pictures are really interesting and amazing too. They make viewers thoughtful for various reasons. I know very well that it was not possible for you to tour entire France when you were there as you went there to get Emily admitted in Medical Faculty of a University located in Lyon. I am sure that another opportunity will present itself soon when you will be able to visit the interesting places of France. Wishing you all the best. Stay happy and cheerful, Lisa.
