Foto Friday- Letter O Foto Friday- Letter O. The word Ottoman starts with the alphabet O. I am not telling you about the Ottoman Empire right now. I am telling you about an Ottoman seat that I use to rest my legs when I pass time watching TV and or reading a book in my sitting room. Why do we call it an ottoman? The answer could be found by us in no time if we look for it on Google. According to Google, the Ottomans were first introduced into Europe from Turkey in the 18th century. It is a padded, upholstered seat without arms or a back. It appears that the seat had after all some relationship with the Ottoman Rulers of Turkey! Thanks, everyone for stopping by. |

Excellent choice!!! I have an old solid one that is so heavy I cannot lift it. When I found it at a yard sale, the lady was only asking one dollar because she also couldn't lift it. My daughter and I finally got it into the back of the car, and she helped me get it into the house. When I need to move it, I just slide it, but it sure is nice to put my feet on it when I watch TV. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

When you mentioned Ottoman, I first thought of the historical content versus the furniture. Excellent Blog

I always thought the Ottermen Empire was composed of a race of human-animal hybrids from Homo Sapiens and the long-tailed, carnivorous, semi-aquatic, furry mammals.

I always thought the Ottermen Empire was composed of a race of human-animal hybrids from Homo Sapiens and the long-tailed, carnivorous, semi-aquatic, furry mammals. "The Ottoman Empire was a state that controlled much of Southeastern Europe, Western Asia, and Northern Africa between the 14th and early 20th centuries. It was founded at the end of the 13th century in northwestern Anatolia in the town of Söğüt by the Turkoman tribal leader Osman I." Take care. Be Safe, my friend.
