New Beginnings, New Life

Ah! Today in spring many a flower blooms
Many a flute plays, and many a bird sings
A tender flower, her heart
Withers away unattended

Why come near? Smile for no reason?
The one who did come close
Wishes not to approach any more

Joyful who are, in joy remain
Joyous spring, in joy may it end
A woebegone woman’s tears
May they not espy

In seeing, they see not
In knowing, they know not
They do not even look back

Tagore Song: Translated by Romela Sengupta

Photos: Collected.

Spring signifies a fresh start, an opportunity to begin a new one! It is the time when trees, plants, and flowers begin to bud, grow, and bloom.

Looking forward to Spring. The colors, the sounds, the smells and the feel of it are refreshing.
We have had some tastes of it, with warm weather and winds, the flowers starting to emerge, and the trees starting to bud. But suddenly, a change in temperatures and a freeze warning tonight for tender plants remind us that Spring has not truly arrived yet.
But tomorrow is a new day, and each day brings us closer.

Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

Enjoy the spring that makes your heart sing, dear Rocketship. You can listen to the song if you go to the net. The title of the song is 'Aha Ajji Ei Boshonte, Kaderi Kibria in Switzerland'. I hope you are well. Take care. Stay cheerful always.

Thank you so much, Mrs. Joe, for your comments which have, no doubt, enriched the blog. Here in my homeland, spring has arrived on February 14. It is a short-lived season in my country. We are already hearing the arrival bells of summertime in here. Take care and stay happy.

I love Spring, bringing with it a message of hope and new beginnings. It lifts my heart to see see buds peeping up in the garden getting ready to bloom and do their thing.

When the weather heats up a bit more I'm looking forward to getting out in the garden and to do some planting. I might even start and buy some plants today. My local garden center have some lovely hardy plants in at the moment.

Take care, Looklook, and enjoy the beautiful Spring weather.

Here in my homeland, we celebrate the first day of spring colourfully. We consider the spring’s association with new life and beginnings to be a natural and cultural celebration of change and hope. To us, spring is a time of renewal and rebirth. The two photos posted above depict how colourfully we celebrate the first day of spring. Like you, I love spring even though it is a short-lived time. Take care, dear Maudie. Enjoy the amazing springtime. Stay happy always.

THE FIRST DAY OF SPRING IS TOMORROW HERE BUT MANY TREES AND PLANTS HAVE ALREADY BLOOMED OR ARE BEGINNING TO BLOOM. THE WINTER WAS VERY MILD THIS YEAR. SPRING IS NOT OUR BEST SEASON, IT IS OFTEN UNSTABLE WITH SUN ONE DAY AND THEN COLD AND RAIN THE NEXT BUT IT IS STILL THE SEASON OF HOPE FOR NEW BEGINNINGS OR IMPROVEMENTS IN AN EXISTING SITUATION. ENJOY IT DEAR FRIEND.

Dear Archer,
We celebrate the first day of spring on the first day of Bengali month, Falgun (February 14). The day is celebrated as ‘Pohela Falgun’. It is a vibrant festival filled with colourful attire, flowers, and songs. The festival is also known as 'Basanto Utsab'(Spring Festival). Wishing you a wonderful first day of spring, dear friend. Enjoy the amazing springtime. Take care.

"Thank you so much, Kate, for visiting my blog page and leaving a comment. I must clarify that I neither wrote the song nor translated it into English. The song, which was written in Bengali, was created by the first Asian Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore in 1888. As Bengali is my mother tongue, I have loved listening to this song since my boyhood. I look forward to hearing from you in the future. Take care."
