Hmmm......sort of like Walmart calling their employees "associates"?

Chick-fil-A made a calculated financial decision ...shouting out "we're bigots here" might bring some sales. They got a bump in sales in 2012. That says more about bigots than chicken.

The "traditional" view of marriage is oppression. Definition of oppression = the state of being subject to unjust treatment or control. In this case tax paying US Citizens getting a lesser version of law. The USA figured it out. Oppression called for by a Religion has no place in a Nation of Law.

Like we figured it out in 1964 that the "traditional" view of segregation is oppression. And like we figured out that the traditional view women shouldn't be allowed vote or drive etc etc etc..

So much for tradition.

Why don't you just make a meme that says CONSERVATIVE GOOD< LIBERAL BAD........and repost it every day.....it would be just as interesting, would save you a lot of time and give the same message.......are you as single-minded in real life as you are on here?.....You must be a real hit at parties......

I have never posted a blog saying Maisie is bad, let alone make that claim every day.......By the same token, you could put up every day "I AGREE WITH ANYTHING MAISIE SAYS"..........What a couple of predictable bores.

Why? What's the point?......I find your subject matter to have absolutely no value or interest, let alone being expected to follow MAISIE"S RULES OF ENGAGEMENT" .........

Used in this sense could is a present tense modal verb used as a suggestion.

It sometimes pays to read past the headline to get the true story don't you think?

There was a few times when I was broke but needed free internet. I would go to Starbucks. Nobody called the police on me. One manager even gave me a complimentary cup of coffee knowing that I was usually a regular customer. I suspect that Blacks get tired of having the police called on them for dumbazzzzz reasons for things that whites might get away with.

Chick-Fil-A gives away complimentary cups of water without demanding that the customer buy something else. I doubt if they call the police on Gays who get the free water.

My bad, Traditional Marriage is not oppressive to anyone.

Bigots argued that traditional marriage is a good REASON to oppress others. In this case they argued that tax paying US Citizens get a lesser version of law because of who they are.

So really, what happens in other countries, Muslim rule, the fact that Obama stopped you from celebrating Christmas are all kind of ridiculous to your topic.

And next time you're at Chick-fil-A ask a bigot to quote some scripture

You're hilarious maisie...

"Let's break that down for a quick second. In any business that involves interchange with the public, actual paying customers are to be treated with respect, deference, and be provided with the goods and services they came to buy. You smile, ask them how you can help, and make them comfortable with your level of willingness to get them what they came in for. Or at least, that was the essence of every customer service class I ever sat through."

So what does that say about your defence of the bakers who refuse to bake wedding cakes for gay couples, or the registrar who refused to marry a gay couple?

You can't have it both ways.

Obviously, you disagree with the Dalai Lama.

Why do you think you have to be maisie's shadow...are you that dominated by her?

I'm sure the CEO of Starbucks has an explanation for calling everyone who enters his company's premises a "customer" as Mr. Sam did for calling his employees "Associates".........You seem to think that whatever Mr, Sam's reasoning was for shifting the meaning of a word should be acceptable because of your personal politics.........Too bad you don't have a sense of humour about your own nonsensical comments.

I can't see how any coffee shop can be successful if all the tables are taken up by the unemployed, seniors, teenagers, or homeless people, or people not buying anything. Here the seniors buy a coffee at Tim Hortons and sit at a table for a couple of hours, then there are no tables for anyone else. I think these coffee shops should just put a big sign on the wall that the seating is for paying customers only and also there is a 20 minute time limit.

As a Christian I have a problem with the phony Christians. I have a problem with the Christians (Limbaugh and his worshippers for one example) who sound more like bigots than Christian and need to read the Bible before they shoot their mouths off.

Religious Christians know that the New Testament is about love, compassion, treating others as you want to be treated. Religious Christians know that Jesus Christ clearly calls for separation of Church and State. Now that gay marriage is law there's no Biblical conflict for Kim Davis and ilk except the conflict they want to invent. Based on Scripture Davis has two options ...do her job or quit.

Ok ... "For many, the Supreme Court of the United States is not above the Supreme Being".

Your biggest problem with that is young people. It looks to me like the crowd saying "the Supreme Court of the United States is not above the Supreme Being" are mostly using canes walkers and wheel chairs to get around ... screaming out the window of the old folks home , get off MY lawn. Good luck with that .

And sure, tell the bigot bakers to hang in there because the law might change someday. But that's not going to put them back in business is it. . Money does that.

Maybe give them some business advice on how to stay in business too.
