Whatever happened to character being more important than DNA? Hard work and perseverance, rather than privilege, victimhood, and handouts?
Talk about divisions........... some of the people in our country are the country's worst enemies.

Most Folks who have ancestors who have been here awhile have some indigenous heritage. I know a woman who claims black/indigenous ancestry despite having a white mother. She runs around wearing buckskins and rants about how white people "stole her ancestral lands" "Got land, Thank an Indian!" Got Life, Thank you White Mama!!! I asked her about the percentage and she called me ignorant. Dah! She probably is much Indian as I am. Neither is enough to gain citizenship in a tribe.

Oooooo, I love thick waffles. Is that culture appropriation? How about the fact that tomorrow night, we are eating in a Brazilian steakhouse? Will that be wrong? I don't have Brazilian ancestry..... or at least I don't think I do. And I'm not getting it tested because it isn't that important to me.
I AM AN AMERICAN................... period.

I am frequently guilt of cultural appropriation. I make thick waffles out teff. (a grain originally found in Ethiopia but currently grown in Michigan. I am neither Belgian or Ethiopian. I also make pho soup and I am definitely not from Vietnam. I dress in a bohemian style but have no Eastern European ancestry. I just love colors. The beauty of being American is that we are so blended that a person can take the best of everything and put it together.

My first husband had applied for a job that he really wanted and was passed over for a man of Hawaiian descent. If he had known about his black ancestry, he could have listed that and maybe gotten the job. The updated DNA testing indicated that my son has 1 percent African Bantu. I am sure that his father has more than that.

Your blog doesn't make any difference either.....Elizabeth Warren got her professorship because she was an excellent professor. Harvard put out a statement long ago that that Warren did not mention Native heritage in her application, that she has never used that to gain favour in any job application. And yet you and Tiny Trump still persist. You know all this, and I'm sure you saw Tiny at that rally where he made the ludicrous speech about throwing a DNA test at her and that he would pay a million dollars to a charity of her choice if she had the DNA test......and I'm sure you heard the many Pocahontas taunts.....including the despicable behaviour at the Whitehouse with the Native veterans..........and then responding to the reporters when asked about the DNA test......"who cares, who cares".....and "I didn't say I would donate a million dollars "............

And you write this blog, deliberately twisting and lying, just like your dear leader.......Drumph.......Like every other blog you have ever posted...Just another dishonest, hyperbolic spiel.........You say my MO is to insult......yet you're the one whose every blog.......every single blog you have ever posted on this site for years, is about one thing and one thing only........America is divided into two factions. My faction is always right and the other faction is wrong.........That's it.....your whole MO.........insulting the "other".....

used to think I had more Native American than I have, I sat in sweat lodges, built medicine wheels, made dreamcatchers and prayer sticks. I was also involved in paganism or early European spirituality. I discovered that many of the NA concepts have European counterparts. A few years ago, I got a DNA test and opps! I didn't have as much NA as I thought. I didn't realize that testing could reveal 1/37th of an ethnic DNA. This is why I chuckled at the black woman running around in buckskins screaming about how white people stole her ancestral land. She probably has more European DNA from her White Mama that she does Indian DNA from her Black Daddy.

Hmm, do I go to the vet or the doctor?

Judgment Day will be interesting - and all paths lead there.
