Every day is a gift, and it is up to us how to use it..... you and Jim have taken care of Rick for so long now, I know it has to be difficult to allow others to do most of it. As you said, every day is a new normal...... then I wonder, just what is normal for anyone? God bless you!  Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

It has been quite awhile since I have seen Rick's picture but I do remember seeing one of him before. Prayer will be asked for him at church Sunday. A truly praying church.

I think its great that your son is in a Nursing Home and is being cared for so well. Dementia is such a horrible illness.
