" THE MIRACLE BABY RESCUED FROM THE RUBBLE OF NEPAL"

This is the story of Sonies, the baby of 5 months old in Nepal who Was Miraculously Rescued from Rubble and Survived the Earthquake.

While walking back home from a store on Saturday, the earth began to shake, In a few minutes, Rasmila Awal, 35 yrs, saw the building she lived in collapse. Inside, under all the debris, were her -- Soniya, aged 10, and Sonies, only 5 months old baby.

"I started screaming and asking neighbors for help," she recalled. "I went numb, I didn't hear anything, didn't know if they were alive or not." said Awal. Her husband, Sham Krishna Awal, 34, a microbus driver, was working when the quake shook the region. But Soniya and Sonies were at the family home in Muldhoka, Bhaktapur, east of the capital, Kathmandu.

Sham Awal rushed home and scrabbled frantically through the rubble, searching for his . Neighbors came to help. But Rasmila Awal became despondent. "I had very little hope that they had survived," she said. "I didn't hear any sound at all." And then, a blessing: After two hours, Soniya, was found alive, having rushed out just as the quake began. But the baby was still missing. The father also began to lose hope of finding his alive -- until, from under the rubble, he heard faint cries. But night had fallen and there was little that could be done. "It's destiny," a neighbor told Rasmila Awal. "If he's destined to live, he will. Or else God will take him away."

The next morning, the Awals returned to the remnants of their home. And they heard the joyful sound they had prayed they would hear. Their baby was crying. "We came back and we heard the voice again," Rasmila Awal said. The soldiers, having returned as well, resumed digging. And, miracle of miracles, 22 hours after the earthquake, the mother saw a soldier pull her baby boy, Sonies, out of the debris. He was totally coated with dust, he has some bruises and a cut on his thigh but alive and was taken to the hospital for treatment and then returned to his mother's arms. His unlikely rescue has given hope to a nation that has experienced so much loss. "He just started smiling," Rasmila Awal said. It was a happy ending. Happy to be out of hospital and with his mum. This is five month old Sonies, also known as the miracle baby who was trapped in the rubble of his home for 22 hours.

The Awal family has no place to live now. Everything they had was destroyed. And Sham Awal's sister-in-law and her two , who lived nearby, all died in the earthquake. But then again, a little baby boy, Nepal's new face of hope, has his whole life still ahead of him.

Thanks for your views.
Lisa.

Mamannie hi,

Mamannie, thank you so much for passing by leaving your nice comments on this blog. I am sad that this blog concerning the great rescue of this baby from the rubble of Nepal, this blog has suffered lots of unknown blockade, freeze, as it had also disappeared right after the posting, the photos had been removed for unknown reasons too, till I got fed up and hid it by anger. Then I had re-posted it yesterday with all the previous photos but yet today I noticed that the photos have again disappeared. I don't why but it hurts me to see all these done to such a decent blog, a blog of praise and a blog referring
to such a joyful event and the unexpected lucky fate of this innocent baby. It's a pity also for the indifference of others too!!.
But however I feel the must to respond to your nice comments and to thank you again for them.
I wish you a pleasant week Mamannie.
My best regards to you.
Lisa.

Looklook MBN hi,

At last I can also read another nice comment from someone else on the event of the lucky fate of this innocent baby, rescued from the rubble of that terrible disaster. I guess everything concerning this blog was a sort of being hostile, unsympathetic, disliked and also indifferent as it seemed to be. If I've posted this blog, it was just to share my joy and to praise those who had done this unbelievable rescue of that little baby boy. Though I know him neither his parents nor any of his country men, am not even from his country and their cultures but I feel so happy for him and for his parents. A saved life which is priceless!!. And being a mother too, I could feel the anguish, the worries and the desperation of his parents while he was missing. But now, just as an incognito, I share the happiness of his rescue and his reunification with his mother and members of his family. It was never hard for me to set this blog about that innocent baby but it's really hard to witness the indifference of others. However, it always depends......on one another!!!
Thank you again Looklook and I wish you a pleasant week.
Kind regards.
Lisa.

MLLD, Look at the smiling mother, It tells everything to us !
May be, others could not either read such smile or considered the blog as wastage of space!! Never Mind. Many will silently appreciate your effort. And this silent majority only matters!! Best wishes and regards. YBN.

Looklook, MBN,

I wouldn't care for un-felt emotion or just pretentious one also. And none is forced to feel such joy as it is just natural too. Anyhow, i better forget about it. Once there was even only one comment on there, it surely has gladdened me for at least, one soul had shared the happiness of that information right away. And now your has also joined in.
Human beings are different from one another for sure.
Thanks again for your second post.
Best wishes.
Lisa.
