Right after Kennedy was shot you can see Jackie climbing out of the car and crawling across the trunk of the car. Initially it looked like she was trying to get out of the car away from the assassin's bullets but we later learned she was trying to collect the pieces of her husband's brain. What amazing bravery and love for her husband to instinctively do what she thought might save his life and make him well again.

I was 16 years old, a senior in high school, sitting in history class taught by a stoical spinster who hardly ever showed emotion, except to call down rowdy students. The public address system came on, broadcasting the events to the whole school. When the announcement came that the POTUS was dead, that teacher got tears in her eyes, turned silently and left the room. Her show of emotion actually had more of an impact on me at that moment than the announcement. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

I remember vividly the happenings of that day in Dallas ... I was glued to the TV like millions of others. I still think LBJ had the most to gain and was more than corrupt enough to arrange it. Then came the shooting of Bobby and the USA was totally in the gutter with the maggots....and world now has the result of that mentality... Trump! Need I say more... he's an embarrassment to the human race! Vile, disgusting and a waste of skin!

You left out the most important part of the story. We had something called the Fairness Doctrine in place in 1963. The Fairness Doctrine forced journalists to give equal time and honest coverage of both Republican and Democrat debates, arguments, issues etc. It was law and ENFORCED by FCC. Abandoning the Fairness Doctrine in the late 80s turned news into gutter style entertainment. Politics evolved to the level of professional sports. You stick with your team no matter what ...you're supposed to hate the other team .. your team can do no wrong. If you don't like the entertainment industry there is an option ... vote with your wallet!

I've thought about this a little today.......... our world and society sure has changed. I knew a lot of people who did not like JFK...... but not a one of them spoke bad about him and were glad to see him dead. Not so today, is it? If the POTUS were killed today, there would people so crass as to celebrate his death, and it would probably be quite publically. Sad, extremely sad. I don't look silly Maisie... but you do with your ridiculous attempts to convince everyone that YOU know everything! Your ideas and thoughts aren't worth anymore than mine are ... you just think they do. Try using a little logic now and again! The same mind set that surrounded the assassination of John Kennedy, Bobby Kennedy, Martin Luther King, etc. etc. etc. is the same as the mind set that elected Trump! There's a whole world outside your borders that watches and waits to see what is going to happen next. This isn't just about the USA ... it's about the world and what the hell people like you were thinking when you elected that disgusting individual to be your president. I'd be ashamed if I was American!
