I can only speak for myself of course, but my respect for McCain and sadness over his death has nothing whatsoever to do with Trump.

And then there are accounts of a 'Songbird' McCain published a long time before anyone would appear trying to create an argument over a deceased person. At best illustrates the hypocrisy of Democrats coloring him bothways to fit their timing and agenda. I too voted for McCain/Palin

Well.. this is what we disagree about.. You think it's about ideology.. the What of it. NOT to ME You can't separate the what and the How... The how doesn't matter to you.. When....I don't care about the what.. and ONLY the how matters to me. Now tell me.. How the how, doesn't matter... Now tell us... as long as you get what you want.. it doesn't matter how you get it.

I am neither Democrat or Republican as I live across the border. But I gave McCain good accolades as he was a good person and as I see it tried to do good for his countryman and country.

It was no secret that McCain and Trump were not a love match. Trump would have come across as hypocritical if he tweeted something gushy about McCain. Abracadabra

Speaking as an outsider, obviously, it seemed to me, at the time, that McCain lost a lot of votes in the Presidential election because of who he chose as a running-mate.....I think McCain was not as predictable politically as most, which is causing this interesting dichotomy now.

There's a difference between the "ends justify the means ".. and the "means to an end" Almost everybody weighs the value of the ends and how much that devalues the means to achieve it. Trump's thinks in terms of a "means to an end"...the end makes no difference..His "means' do not change.

Almost all the news does pretty much the same thing.. State the FACTS.. the give an opinionated conclusion about those facts. Most people understand this.. and can agree of disagree with the opinion. BUT NOT YOU.. and "FAKE NEWS" Disagreeing with the opinion is not good enough....You got to use that disagreement to dispute the facts. "Sorry about that- facts are important to me" Like who you trying to kid? So what alternate FACT universe do you live in? Where... if the facts do not conformed to your opinionated conclusion..then just change the facts.

Yeah, for sure Maisie, I can always tell factual reporting because of the use of words and phrases like "spewed" "spat", "played the race card", propelled him on to sainthood"......Always indicative of fact-based, unbiased reporting.....

I liked what I knew of John McCain. I didn't know who he was until Mike came into my life but it didn't take long for me to find out. He had faults...many, as do all of us, but he also possessed the ability to see beyond the wall were so many stop seeing. He was above all a very good MAN which is a rare thing these days.
