That's a long drive for sure. We only travel about 6 hours at a time, and that requires a couple of stops along the way, per orders of our cardiologist to avoid circulation problems.
We spent the day running around and having a great time.... went to visit the flea market in the mall where we usually set up as vendors. Joe walked all over the place, visited with folks and looked through hundreds of DVDs and finally bought about 60 of them, some to watch but most for resale. When I say he looked through them, I mean he opened and examined them! I got so tired of just standing around waiting on him, that I went and sat by the fountain.
Then we went out to eat at a Mexican place..... brought home enough for another meal. Tired, but sure enjoyed the day.
Looking forward to next weekend, when we will go to Knoxville, TN and spend it with Duck.
It's good to get away, but always good to get home, isn't it?

I have done those fourteen hour trips and they are no picnic. I don't drive long distance anymore. I don't think a single woman on her own is a good idea to be out on the road at my age. So I just get on an airplane and fly and leave the driving to someone else.
Good to hear you had a good time.

Glad you and Alfie had a fun time, it is always worth it when to can meet, greet, and have fun.
When we go to such events we hate to leave, but all good things have to end some time.
Looks like mrsjoe had a good day also.

Hi Shartaun nice to see you again.

I have learned to do longer car journeys in two days. It saves a lot of stress.
