I am curious too, but I think that there are not many people visiting the blogs nowadays and that is the reason things seem to be at a standstill..

I noticed that the blogs seem to be slow too!! I thought everyone was just taking the weekend off~~~ Folks may visit the blogs, but we need more HAPPY/HAPPY BLOG POSTERS!!

So....I will give an example of my ordinary day.......My grand daughter is 13.....She has changed her name to be more gender-neutral and has adopted neutral pronouns......now to be referred to as "they", "them"..........Their hair is blue and their nails are artificial and very long.....They requested Doc Marten boots for Christmas and her mom and I split the cost.....Let's see......They { my grand daughter} is so beautiful, it hurts.......They have an all black cat named "Nio".....the name made no sense to me, o I googled it and it is the name of an Anime hero....They are very into Anime......Their favourite musician is Billie Eilish ...I have been listening to her music and watching videos of her and her brother and their musical process......they write and create and play and sing all their own work.......They are amazing......This is some of what is real in my life....They teach me every day......

NO PROBLEM ANNE, THE BLOG SHOWS UP JUST FINE. THERE HAVE BEEN FAR FEWER SINCE CERTAIN BLOG HOGS LEFT.

The important thing is that whether it is a phase or a growing lifestyle, we always show them our love. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

i think we need more creative, honest posters.....I'm sure not interested in "Happy Happy" unless it's sincere and real........I would love to hear stories and opinions and observations and feelings and experiences on a wide range of topics and moods and emotions.......about the ordinary day to day experiences of others........I'm sure not looking on the internet to cheer me up....

It sounds as though your grand children have inherited some talent from their grandmother, even though it takes a different venue. I also have a grandson and granddaughter who have musical talents and write and perform their own work. It gives us great pride and pleasure to see them work to develop those talents, doesn't it? As for the the blue hair, etc, I'm laughing because I also have a granddaughter slightly younger than yours who has her hair blue, or green, or purple, and dresses in her own "style". The important thing is that whether it is a phase or a growing lifestyle, we always show them our love.

I enjoy the weekly photo blogs, and those that are filled with cartoons and jokes, but like Lulu, I like those that give a slice of life of the blogger. What I don't like are the ones that are meant to attack others, whether it is a personal attack or against a group of people. Lately, I've been rather slow to get around to reading and responding. I'll try to do better. Notice I said "TRY" which means I may be able to do it or may not. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

Yes things seem to be quiet here in the blogs these days. Kofla hasn't posted anything in the blogs since the latter part of November as he said he was taking a break from the blogs and would be back sometime in the new year. He is also going off to Paris sometime soon this month. Hopefully he will post photos while he is travelling around Paris. As for myself things have been pretty quiet and I spent a quiet Christmas at home as I elected not to travel. I had booked a flight to Alberta and decided not to go because of the escalating cases of the variant that was happening around the country. I am looking forward to watching the winter Olympics from Beijing, China which begin on February 4th.
