Hank, I think we both know your money is safe, although I have no doubt you would gladly give it for that assurance. We have a big problem in our country, a heart problem. Life is no longer respected at any age and by any age. We have video games that glorify killing and our youth are glued to them from the time they can hold a controller. And that is just part of the problem.
It's easy to see the problems, they stare us in the face...... but the solution is elusive and no one seems to agree on it. God help us all.

Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

There are two issues the event and the number killed

The event is a security issue, stopping it is totally outside the issue of guns and killers.. we live in that constant threat .

but the number killed....is not a matter of security, once initiated..It's a matter of the intent and the weapon.

Entering the mind of the perpetrator is nearly impossible.. but can gather some information about mass murders.....they want to kill as many people in the shortest time possibly, and they do it on their own.

There are, of course, many alternative weapons...poison, bombs, gas, automatic rifles, semi automatic rifles, rifles, hand guns and even vehicles...
Again it's hard to understand in the mind of a murders the weapon of choice...
but what we can understand.... may not be their weapon of choice, but we can understand the weapon the choose.
As the evidence mount up of a particular weapon used.....It then falls into accomplishing Whatever the intent is of the murder. What can they use that succeeds in killing the most people in the shortest time?
almost all individual, mass murders don't have the wherewith all, and the planning ability to succeed in complicated matters....so it simply becomes a target, and the most convenient weapon. that will accomplish the task.

I doubt these mass murder ever fulfill their goal,
In Parkland Florida. this guy killed seventeen kids... you need to ask yourself.. would he have killed more if he could?
And without the gun he chose....would he have killed fewer?
And with the anticipated killings far fewer.. would the crazy impetus to try it, been LESS likely?
You have to answer these questions for yourself... I already have.

Yes the person... not the gun... created the event...but the weapon caused the number of dead. Would the restriction been worth it. If he only killed 16 people as opposed to seventeen, what about 6 people as opposed to 17.

Is it not true.. that we should learn from these events....We can't STOP them from occurring.... As we eliminate the weapon of choice.. they will surely find another...and then we should deal with that one... But for now we got the weapon they choose..why aren't we doing anything about it?

There is a bigger picture.. that always baffles me..It not just the example I'll use..It a lot of things.... It's not about the thing..... it's the mindset.
How lawful people, feel the need to support the unlawful..when their lawful is challenge by the unlawful...
why don't Liberals go to the forefront to fight the abuses of entitlements. When the undoubted fact is.. the abuses attack the entitlements..Liberals attacking back at the abuses protects entitlements
Why don't guns owners, fight the unlawfulness, that attacks their right to own a gun. Severe restrictions on SOME weapons, aren't a design to prevent ownership, but protect lawful ownership. In the case of guns... protecting EVERYBODY"S rights.. is a rabbit hole.. to losing your lawful rights.
