Interesting read. It brings to my mind two possible scenarios.......... either she is being deceptive and cannot remember what lies she has told, or she is a deeply troubled woman who has been manipulated and taken advantage of by unscrupulous politicians and lawyers. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

....or she is normal in that people and events outside of the incident just don't compute. You and I are both victims of sexual abuse ... we were both children at the time ... do you remember every detail - I don't but that doesn't mean it didn't happen. Hers was a one time event and one would think that if it were that traumatic, she could remember at least some specifics, since it seems to have haunted her for 35 years. Mitchell is working for the Republicans........the All White, Male committee that hired her. We all saw what transpired when Dr. Blasey Ford's testimony was over. When they got back from the break and it was Kavanaugh's turn, Mitchell got one question in and Kavenaugh stumbled and immediately Lindsey Graham had his grandstanding righteous indignation yelling spree....and Mitchell disappeared...... Why wasn't Kavenaugh questioned by Mitchell? And then of course, there was his sorry display, one hissy-fit after another.....especially when asked about his drinking, turning the senators' questions rudely back on them. And his threatening grimaces like a cornered animal, his yealling and moaning and then the sniffing and snorting that went on and on interminably, playing up his victim stance.....paying to an adience of one.....namely the president........Did I play the victim good daddy?.......Wasn't there one person in the room that could have handed him a hanky?......What a circus!!

That aspect of the attack alone is enough to raise the stakes as to what you would remember and not remember. Our own protection mechanisms take over to handle what we can't. I suspect that is what happened. I understand that sometimes hypnosis may uncover the full extent of the abuse.

Yeah, because that all-male committee hearing about a woman's word against a man's word is perfectly fair....and believing otherwise is "misandry" Oh, please. As to my comment that says "all White Males".....is bringing race into it.......do you really need everything explained?.....Can't you figure it out for yourself?....There is a committee of privileged white men judging the veracity of a woman's claims. They have no experience of being a member of any group that doesn't have the same privileges as they do,......they have no perspective of vulnerability.......perhaps non-white men might have experiences of vulnerability that would give them some empathy.........Being gay or non-conforming might help too.....

I quite agree it would not bring any glory. Wizened? Maybe. Muscular. Definitely. It wasn't much of boast given the target audience. It was more along the lines of 'your mother wears army boots'. Not really much of a leftie by Candian standards. Real lefities shun me. I take the wrong position on too many issues.

Optics and perception are peripheral and one dimensional and relate only to the audience and add nothing to the actual fairness of the procedure.

I misunderstood your intent because I couldn't imagine that anyone could think that wasn't obvious and would need explanation....LOL.....your constant need to lob insults as to the intelligence of your female audience is noted, especially in the context of never questioning the intelligence or intent of the men, even when they post outright lies.
