RESPONSE TO RICH'S 50'S BLOG

This was my response to Rich's 59s blog.....In particular his comments about pregnancy and shame.......Apparently he found it too threatening, so he deleted it......

In those days, all the responsibility for pregnancy was put on the girl.......the men got off scott free and were even admired for getting her pregnant.....You can see that attitude in Rich's comments.....He doesn't mention that the men should be ashamed.......

There were lots of abortions in the 50's too, difference is that they were performed in very sketchy circumstances and many women died in agony from abortions and many more were scarred for life.....many became sterile or had pregnancy complications in subsequent pregnancies or became very ill from infections that they were afraid to get medical help for. Sexual abuse of was also rampant in those days....there was a silent acquiescence that ran deep in society in those days. Date-r*pe was not even a thing, nor was spousal r*pe......the Catholic Church, the JWs and many other institutions protected abuse within the organization........Those "Happy Families" of the 50's were often a front for the world, behind which many horrors were perpetrated.

If a male ra*es a female his punishment should be castration.

Obviously, you believe that people here in SFF are so stupid that they accept your word- twisting as honesty?

1...Nobody here has proposed "male castration"...they have said that r*apists should be castrated. If you choose to see r*apists as men...that is your choice,,. Of course you are a so-called man who defends calling a human being "sewage" and attacks any who protest at it. None of this does anything for your credibility.
I see r*pists as weak minded, women-hating misogynists who don't give a fig for decency...or humanity.

2...Plenty of SFF members know that each one of these women have had their photos on show for years...so you calling them "gutless" is just a pathetic attempt to make yourself seem "better" than them.

Keep trying... it's so entertaining!!!

Your blog is a good characterization of life for many in the 50's and before.

You attacked "the three of you" as one.......I certainly was not "spewing anti male venom" I don't agree with mandatory vasectomies, but a vasectomy is not castration or anything close to it....I do however think men should take more responsibility for birth-control.......I understand that if a man is ignorant about what a vasectomy is, he would react by flailing about like you did here.

in the 50s, girls were expected to be ‘chaste’ and ‘pure’ and resist all males attempts to have sex with them. If a girl failed to prevent sexual intercourse, society blamed her for not resisting enough. Boys were given a pass because their sex drive was considered natural and a mark of their virility. Girls were expected to have no sex drives (and if they did, were shamed for it and considered sluts and tarts) and were expected to only cultivate their skills in running a house, housekeeping, cooking, sewing and raising children.

That entire thought process is just plain wrong. Unfortunately, it persists even today in many cultures, including Western culture. Girls and women are still shunned, harassed, shamed and punished for having sex and/or getting pregnant before marriage all over the world. Many cultures still punish the girl/women for having sex or being pregnant out of wedlock, even if the act was through r*pe.

Girls who ‘sleep around’ are called sluts and whores, while boys who do so are called playboys. In many schools, a girl who gets pregnant is expected or even required to drop out of school and attend night classes, while the boy who got her pregnant gets to keep going to school just fine.

The whole ass-backwards attitude toward women and sex and pregnancy is outdated and messed up.

Whereas you don't need a "posse", your nasty belligerent attitude comes naturally. You regard freedom of speech as applying only to you and those who think like you.

Keep trying!

Most women would totally agree with you, Sparkle.
And, even today not much has changed in the minds of men like Rich, Liszt and their cronies. Women are not expected to voice their opinions...unless, of course, those opinions agree with theirs. Those of us who ignore that and air our opinions anyway are called "man-hating old crones" and other nasty things...like "sewage".
I wonder why they don't even realise that they are haters and would- be controllers of women. Their whole attitude is..."WOMEN SHOULD BE SEEN AND NOT HEARD UNLESS THEY AGREE WITH ME!" The worst thing is...some of them are women!!

I'm thankful not all men are like that. Not all Christians are like that and not all humans are like that.

Quoting Liszt from a Fossil blog Oct.1, 2018.

"Wait a minute! I just "recovered" a memory! I spent much of the summer of 1982 in Northern Virginia, and I believe I was at that party too. All the guys were smashed and horny, as all men always are, but only Kavanaugh had the b*lls to take matters in hand. A leader among men!"
