EARLY MORNING SKY AND A CABBAGE This was taken from the first ferry this morning.......The cabbage was on it's way to the Fall Fair.....   |

That was the first ferry of the day.....6:15.....The cabbage? The guy who grew this just to wow us, has the most greenest thumbs of anyone I have ever met......

I don't think there's anything more beautiful and calming than a sunrise or sunset!!!  Wow!! The dozens of cabbage rolls I could make~~~

Now THAT is a cabbage! God does paint beautiful pictures I say when I see a beautiful sunrise or sunset.

A beautiful sunrise! I hardly ever see one, but I love sunsets too. The man that grew that cabbage must not only have a green thumb, but his whole hand must be green! Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

Do you ferment it, or do you use vinegar?.....An old friend fro Germany who pased 5 years ago, made fermented sauerkraut and kosher pickled gherkins every year from her home-grown produce.......every jar contained garlic, whole seed-heads of dill.a grape leaf and a walnut leaf.......It's the only sauerkraut I like.....it was really mellow.....I thought it was because it was fermented, but since then I've tasted other people's fermented sauerkraut and it was too sharply acidic for me as well........ I would like to make authentic Kimchee, which is Korean sauerkraut and very hot.....I've tried making it, but it was pretty awful, not like the Koreans make at all........My expert, who was stationed in Korea for 15 years, says I probably failed because I had the wrong peppers and that she has a source for an authentic pepper paste I can order online.........We will see......It's a lot of bother for one person.....

The moon called me out last night. I woke up around 3am.......all of a sudden I was wide awake, I looked out my bedroom window and there was a spotlight trained right on the house. I couldn't see where the light came from........So I got up and went out on the deck......and I laughed......it was Moon.....The sky had cleared and there she was huge and full and so bright......... I told her she was beautiful and stood there admiring her......then I went back to bed and instantly fell back to sleep. This has happened all my life.......I usually keep track of the phases of the moon, something that becomes habitual when you live on the coast, because of the tides.......The full Moon would wake me up and I couldn't go back to sleep, so I went outside and admired her......then I would fall asleep again.....If I stay in bed, I stay awake........I have told this to several people and it works for them too.
