I was listening to Maria Callas singing Puccini's O Mio Babbino Caro this morning and I thought that might be something beautiful we have in common.........

 Gee thanks, Lulu...... I asked Joe if he was familiar with it, and he grinned and broke into song. LOL.
He said Maria Callas is a wonderful soprano and has a beautiful voice, and she does this fantastically, but he likes it better by Renata Tebaldi. I guess the three of you could have some very good conversations.

Tell Joe I agree with him.....she is much warmer...and relaxed.....Callas is a bit tightly wound and, as my father would say...in Norwegian, "stram" which means tight....My father always had a souped-up sound system and listened mostly to Opera and Classical.... I didn't pay a lot of attention to who or what I was listening to at the time, so It's been a search to find the ones I loved back then.......Every Saturday we listened to a live CBC broadcast from the Meropolitan Opera.......
