FOTO FRIDAY....CARCASS I came across this perfectly intact but clean carcass on an old logging road..... was in the Winter, but must have been for many months.....A Wolf-kill......The birds and insects did a thorough job of cleaning up...... |

I had so many possibilities of photos for "C".......When I saw Kofla's "Clothespin" I thought of posting a photo of a loaded clothes-line, but then when I saw Star's blog about cemeteries, I remembered these photos .......in keeping with the theme.......This sentient being also deserves a memorial..........

What a unique subject for the letter C..... that second picture gives a very unusual perspective. I'm surprised the bones were not scattered around. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

Wow, that is unusual to find all the bones intact! A couple months ago we found the spinal remains of a wild pig and glad that was all we found. Would hate to run into one that was still alive!

Eaten to the bone and clean as a whistle. Very interesting "C" photo.

It's a deer....a Wolf kill.....Not Cougar, because they tear apart the carcass....

Interesting shot. It's not a far stretch of the imagination to see how the Vikings' boatbuilding was inspired by clean picked carcasses of stranded whales. Marvellous :- )

Fun to see! Quite an assortment of things beginning with the letter C.

I have run into bare carcasses on several occasions when hiking. The turkey vultures were quite active.

Wow Sparkle your photo is very unusual. Back in the day when I was growing up and living in an area with lots of trees and wild animals we would once in a while come across a carcass. We always had to make sure the chickens were locked up at night so the coyotes wouldn't get them. Our dogs were always outside so they would raise a ruckus if a wild animal came around.
