I hope your absence was because you have just been busy with other things. I'm enjoying these pictures, and that path in the first one looks packed enough that I could even possible walk on it. I had to look up the term, and it is quite descriptive and refreshing in this crazy busy world in which we live. I used to love walking in the timber and just listening to the sounds and enjoying the sights and the smells. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

Anyways, that Grizz wouldn't take the bait in the cage for a week or so, and he kept killing livestock, so Wildlife Management shot him........I guess they can only spend so much time and money on saving a bear......Govmint money...........Very sad, but I feel more comfortable in the forest without him there.....

VERY EXOTIC PHOTOS, TOO MUCH FOR ME BUT VERY INTERESTING. OUR PROBLEM IS WOLVES, THEY EAT THE SHEEP AND ARE GETTING CLOSER AND CLOSER TO TOWNS. WE ALREADY HAVE WILD PIGS IN GARDENS NEAR THE SEA AND WONDER WHAT IS COMING NEXT.

So far we've not had any bears make the swim to Whidbey Island. We do have a lone elk that "elk paddled" his way to the island. He seems happy enough considering he has no mate or buddies. I suppose he could swim back if he wanted.
