Excellent. Once upon a time, folks with different opinions could still sit down and have an amiable coffee and discuss just about anything. Today, they are more apt to throw that coffee in the other person's face and scream at them. It's a sad state of affairs in our country right now, but it's been brewing for a very long time. Hope you are doing well, my friend. Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

Hope you are doing well, my friend. I hope to get a discussion going here where we can discuss issues without calling names or being labeled.........Well this is my attempt to do it again. The first was with my blog about the NFL and the flag. Tell that sweet Mrjoe that I say hello.

Hello Boogie ....Thank you so much for your input and your opinion means a lot to me. I agree with you also we do need to stop labeling folk.......Left ,right ,black white, liberal etc. We are all human and trying to make it through the highs and lows of life while we are still on top of the ground.

Hello Middleprong thanks for your input and I agree with what you say. I think now is the time for all men and women of good will to speak up and question some of the lies that are spread to inspire one group of people to hate another. Some people want to believe the lies because it helps to stroke their " us against them" mentality. Politicians have been using that tactic for years. LBJ had a great way of getting white men in the South to vote.......google Lyndon Baines Johnson and you will find it.

Hello Maisie.......Thanks for your input and you are right about LBJ he used the "N word" to describe black people. He also used some derogatory words to describe whites also. Maisie my attempt with this blog is to start a dialogue with people so that we can share ideas without labeling anyone. This blog is not about politics, though I know that politics plays a big part in our society. I strongly believe that if each person reaches out and genuinely tries to heal the divide in our country it can be done.. 1 person stopped prayer in our schools. Think what would happen if more folk tried to be more tolerant and kind and treat others as they would like to be treated in our country. I enjoyed our chats in the chatroom about horses long ago.I learned from you. Knowledge is the key to understanding and if we talk to folk without labeling them we will learn that most folk are just like us.....no matter the skintone or dress code or political affiliation. Forgive me for making this so long but I just want to do my part to connect rather than divide us.

My friend, Brightsmile, I applaud your efforts to encourage a dialogue in which folks can discuss any topic without sweeping generalizations and/or insults..... Hugssss~~ I love when Judge Judy says, "God gave us two ears and only one mouth for a reason."

Maisie.....I have a Roku stick on my TV......and I get a gazillion stations USA and outside. Some folk have said that. I personally have not said that word because it is one thing to assume but I prefer facts when you want to say someone is a traitor.

Thanks to all who commented on this blog. This was my attempt to bring about a dialogue with people from different backgrounds. I think it was a great start to understanding each other. I would like to share this though Remember that saying "There is none so blind as those who refuse to see" I put this blog word for word on Fbook...........A person on my friends list said the idea is good but our government and the media would not let it work. I said to the person if we the people change then our people in government would change because we elect them to serve us. Later this person put up a very divisive and untruthful article that he had shared about a speech that former Pres Obama made. I told him that I heard the speech and he did not say the things that were on this article that he was sharing around. I told him that this is the type of divisive rhetoric that we need to stop passing around. Even though he had not heard the speech something in him wanted to believe the lie that he was sharing with others. I learned that folk believe what they want to believe.........and there is none so blind as those who refuse to see. Knowledge is the key to understanding and some folk either can't comprehend or just refuse to see a different point of view from theirs. Thanks again to all who participated in this blog. LUV U ALL.
