I don't even like to ride with another driver, so I'm quite sure I am not ready for a computer to drive me anywhere!

Be a prism, spreading God's light and love, not a mirror reflecting the world's hatred.

Every time I hear the phrase "self-drive cars" I think about the huge invention of "horseless carriages" around the turn of the last century. That changed human life in ways people never could imagine. Look how far society has come in those hundred years or so...but new inventions and new technology have become a double edged sword.

I can see into an eventual future where technology takes over, not hard to imagine, we're half way there now. My big question is...what happens when AI, robotic machines etc. take over from human labour? What are we going to do? We can't all be IT techs...so how do we earn a living? Already there is robotic surgery happening, robotic manufacturing, robotic farming... robotic cars, buses even planes and boats are all in the future. If technology keeps advancing the way it has up till now, there will be no way for humans to earn a living. Of course, it won't happen overnight...I'm looking far into the future. BUT...progress is like a snowball rolling and getting bigger as it rolls, if we've moved this far in one hundred years it seems to me we'll roll twice as far and as fast in the next hundred years.

I can't help wondering what Society will be like in another hundred years.

I can't decide whether I'm pessimistic like those who thought horseless carriages, radio and television were non-runners...or whether we really have something to be very wary about for future generations.
