I recently took a trip to Victoria and from the plane the view is beautiful. The first pic shows one of the many Inlets streaming throughout the landscape. We arrived at a little town called Inverloch where we stayed in a holiday house at Anderson’s Inlet.

Part of our holiday included visiting Phillip Island which is at the bottom end of Victoria near Bass Striate that separates mainland Australia from Tasmania. The Icy winds from the ocean didn’t deter us from taking a walk around the boardwalk to view the waves crashing against the rocks of the Inlets. Travelling around Phillip Island you can also see many ground nesting birds with their young and the little penguins and while you are on the Island why not take a wild ride on the catamaran out to Seal Rocks where you can see the seals basking on the rocks and playing in the Icy waters. We did and it was great!

I do have a few pictures of my Dad but thought I would use this one as it's the other half of of last weeks picture (mum) and they look so happy together. My dad was a wonderful caring, loving generious person and there are many stories I could share about him. One that comes to mind is how he purched himself with an armchair strapped to the top of a big man made dinasour erected outside The Reptile Park. He sat up there for 5 days under a canopy to raise money for the Sea Scouts. The Reptile Park relocated and the dinasour was moved to the new location however before it was moved the newspaper wanted to share the history so they had my dad (then in his late 60's)and assisted by the fire brigade, purch on top of that big old dinasour once again for a photo.

Foto Friday is a little sad for me this week as it has brought back some memories. My mum passed away when I was only 12 years old leaving 6 all except my older brother younger than myself,my baby brother was only 2years old. She was 41 when she passed and it was hard on the family. This is the only picture I have of her, it was rescued by my sister who had copies made and laminated for us all.

Sydney Harbour: Harbour jet ski and of course the Harbour bridge. The jet ski is a popular form of entertainment on the harbour where for a nominal fee you can be terrified while it does it wild loops and turns around the Harbour.

Pictures say it all I think. From inside a pine forrest to the logged land and timber mill, an old wooden fence and cart. These days timber is used for numerous items including the very in vogue polished floor boards that my -in-law lays, sands, varnishes and polishes.

Torrential rains a few years ago cause flash flooding in and around Sydney, Newcastle and the Central Coast leaving people stranded in their homes and cars.

The water fall at top right had been dry for years however when the deluge of rains hit us it came gushing down with such a force the sound of it was deafening. The middle 3 pictures are some of the smaller falls at Somersby, also dry until after the storms.

The bottom 3 pictures were taken the day after flooding hit a very dry Wagga Wagga and surrounding areas. Dry that is until a group of us spent the weekend there in cabins while meeting up with friends. LOL.

Flying from Sydney to Melbourne recently the sights were beautiful.

The ocean and shore line just out of Sydney Harbor to the snow capped peaks flying over Canberra, very pristine and very Blue.

Which airline did I fly with? Virgin Blue.
